Quality Assurance Manager (m/w/d)

Location: Hamburg / Berlin (hybrid working model: remote on Mondays and Fridays, onsite from Tuesday to Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize bug reports or bug tickets from internal stakeholders, always keeping their business value in mind
• Report bugs and reproduce them through the complete bug cycle
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the delivery of quality features
• Advocate for product quality within a cross‑functional internal custom software solution
• Contribute to ABOUT YOU’s long‑term automatic testing strategy

Qualifications

• You have 3 years of experience in quality assurance, testing and debugging of frontend applications (JavaScript) in large‑scale projects
• You can read and understand HTML and JSON API responses
• You are experienced in manual testing (explorative and destructive) as well as automated testing (e.g., with cypress.io)
• You have experience handling databases such as MySQL
• You can quickly grasp complex technical systems
• You focus on details while keeping the business value of software in mind
• You are passionate about shipping innovative features that are reliable
• You are experienced with agile methodologies and understand a quality mindset in an agile environment
• You possess excellent communication skills and can handle different stakeholders
• You speak and write English fluently

Nice to have

• You can use the browser dev tools to investigate the root causes of simple bugs
• You can read and interpret PHP code and have cursory programming knowledge

Working model

Hybrid: Remote work on Mondays and Fridays; onsite work from Tuesday to Thursday. The role requires physical presence at the Hamburg headquarters or the Berlin office on a weekly basis.
