Quantitative Intraday Power Trader

We are seeking experienced Quantitative Intraday Power Traders to join a leading energy trading organisation in Germany. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and execute intraday trading strategies within the power markets.

Role Overview

• Develop, implement, and manage algorithmic trading strategies specifically focused on power markets.
• Take responsibility for P&L performance, trading model optimisation, and market expansion efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quantitative analysts, software developers, and market specialists.

Required Experience & Skills

• At least 2 years’ experience in quantitative trading with a proven track record of profitability.
• Strong understanding of European power markets, with particular emphasis on CWE and Nordic regions.
• Solid knowledge of fundamental market drivers and ability to model market dynamics to improve trading margins.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or equivalent, with experience in developing trading models.
• Commercial acumen to discuss margins, profitability, and risk in Euro terms.
