## Role descriptionsThis role is not a traditional sales management, key account or closing position, nor is it a status-driven role within a sales hierarchy.It involves taking systemic responsibility for growth within an AI-driven platform and ecosystem business model.We are looking for someone who views sales not as a pipeline of individual deals, but as a scalable, learning system:* closely integrated with product and AI value* driven by usage, impact and trust* scaling through platform, partner and network effectsWe deliberately operate without traditional C-level titles. What matters to us is not hierarchy, but mandate and responsibility. This role has a clear mandate to define and implement sales strategy, target segments and sales models in a binding manner.Decisions regarding direct, partner or platform sales, market prioritisation and the design of the sales system are the responsibility of this role – in close coordination with product management and senior management.At the same time, this role requires the ability to engage with C-level decision-makers on an equal footing and to conduct strategic sales and partnership discussions independently.As Sales & Growth Lead, you will have end-to-end responsibility for building and further developing an AI-driven sales and growth system.You will shape sales in such a way that:* the product’s AI-driven value is understood, experienced and utilised* demand is generated in a reproducible manner* growth does not depend on individual people or chanceYou make informed decisions regarding:* how AI features in the product are made effective for sales and usage* which customers, segments and partners are strategically relevant* where direct sales make sense and where platform, partner or ecosystem models scale betterIn this role, sales responsibility explicitly also includes responsibility for growth and market development. Success in this role is not primarily measured by individual deals or traditional quotas, but by the effectiveness and scalability of the sales system. This includes, amongst other things:* Quality and reproducibility of the pipeline* Shortening the time-to-value until active use* Transition from deal closure to genuine adoption* Contribution of partner, platform and ecosystem models to sustainable growth* Stability and transparency of market and segment prioritisationA central component of this role is strategic selling:You represent the product, platform and AI value proposition externally, conduct independent discussions with C-level decision-makers, build robust relationships and develop sustainable market, customer and partner access from these.This responsibility complements the role of our management, but does not replace it.For us, leadership means leading by example. You will consistently take a hands-on approach – working on sales systems, AI use cases, proposal logic, partnerships and concrete strategic deals.This role is not purely a management, reporting or escalation function.Growth stems from active work in the market, not from forecast meetings.### AI-driven sales systems* Building an end-to-end sales system that makes AI-driven value clear, measurable and scalable* Translating product and AI capabilities into clear value propositions, use cases and narrativesThe aim of using AI in sales is to create better decisions, greater relevance for customers and a transparent, trustworthy sales experience – not merely to increase efficiency.* Use of AI in sales itself, e.g.: + data-driven lead scoring and segmentation + intelligent use-case matching + Offer and messaging automation + Learning pipeline and forecasting models* Ensuring that AI-supported sales mechanisms are used transparently, explainably and in a strategically sound manner### Strategic market and relationship building* Building, maintaining and utilising robust networks at decision-maker and C-level* Independently leading strategic sales and partnership discussions* Developing long-term market and ecosystem access beyond individual deals* Close coordination with senior management on strategically relevant accounts and partnerships### Platform, partner and reseller models* Establishing and managing scalable partner and reseller structures* Developing enablement models that convey AI product knowledge, not just pitch decks* Definition of governance, incentives and quality standards* Ensuring that partner sales drives adoption and usage, not just generates revenue### Growth, Adoption and Expansion* Responsibility for: + Onboarding new customers + Usage and adoption of the platform + Expansion through added value, not through pressure* Building an integrated market and growth system in close collaboration with Product and Customer Success* Establishing feedback loops between market, usage and product development### Organisation and Collaboration* Building and developing a sales organisation that thinks and learns systemically* Coaching and enablement rather than micromanagement* Ensuring that Sales, Product and Engineering work towards the same impact goals## What we are looking for* Several years’ experience in building or leading complex sales or growth systems* Experience with B2B SaaS, platform or AI-related products* Strong systemic understanding of: + Sales and growth models + Platform and ecosystem logic + AI value beyond buzzwords* Proven ability to communicate at decision-maker and C-level and strategically position complex offerings* Existing network or the ability to build one in a structured manner* Enjoyment of building new sales models rather than managing existing ones* A strong hands-on mentality without ego or title-driven thinking* Very good German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (min.
