Scientific Project Coordinator (part-time 80%)

The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is one of Europe’s largest cancer research centers. We investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors, and search for new cancer prevention strategies. Your Tasks
- Support the strategic planning and development of future European and international research initiatives and funding proposals.
- Monitor project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Support the principal investigators in the preparation and coordination of grant applications (including scientific aims, work plans, budgets, Gantt charts, and data protection sections) as well as scientific and financial reporting.
- Support projects with medico‑legal tasks (e.g., create and negotiate data protection concepts according to GDPR).
- Support the organization of seminars, retreats, and site visits to or by our international partners.
Your Profile
- A completed university degree, e.g., master’s degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in science and project management, research administration, and regulatory affairs, ideally within an academic environment.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Proven project management skills; certifications such as PRINCE2, IPMA, or experience with agile methodologies are beneficial.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
- An independent, structured, and proactive working style with a strong motivation for continuous development.
