Stellenbeschreibung:

About NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

As an integral member of the multi‑disciplinary team the post‑holder will work in partnership demonstrating compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS). In particular the post‑holder will be responsible for the assessment, formulation, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care for complex individuals using a strength‑based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person and optimises self‑management. The post‑holder is required to undertake duties without direct supervision as well as supporting and supervising work undertaken by registered and unregistered nursing staff. The post‑holder is responsible for proactively promoting partnership working with patients, carers and other professionals or agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies. This involves working in a proactive assertive outreach approach in a variety of home or near‑home community environments and may involve agile working arrangements.

Participating in and providing regular Clinical Supervision and undertaking Nurse Line Management responsibilities are critical aspects of the role.

Supervising and monitoring the practice of others, undertaking student nurse assessor or supervisor responsibilities and supporting the Nurse Team Lead in the ongoing learning and development of the staff team are important key functions and aspects of this role.

AI Tools and Application Guidance

AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application, but your answers must be your own.

  • Show us the real you: your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
  • Use AI wisely: it’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers.
  • Why this matters: applications that rely on AI‑generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.

Tip: Think of AI as a helper, not a substitute. We want to understand you, not an AI tool.
