NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
As an integral member of the Acute Addiction Liaison Team the post-holder will work in partnership demonstrating compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the Acute Addiction Liaison Service. The post-holder will be a key link between Acute Hospitals and Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS) and wider care providers.
The post-holder will be responsible for assessment, formulation, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care relating to alcohol and drug recovery using a strength‑based recovery focused approach that proactively involves the person. Defining the level of need of problematic alcohol and/or drug‑using patients and targeting appropriate services pre‑discharge from hospital.

This is a permanent post of 37 hours per week.
This will be a city‑wide post.
The shift pattern is Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.
