Short Term Quantitative Developer

Charles Levick has partnered with a leading player in the Energy Trading sector and is looking to recruit a highly motivated Quantitative Developer to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

Your role & responsibilities:

Contribute to short-term power trading and make trading decisions based on fundamental analysis.
Support algorithms to improve commercial decision-making.
Analyse market data to develop and refine trading strategies.
Collaborate with other trading departments to develop an analytical platform that enhances market insights and supports future strategies.
Work on renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, along with flexibility assets like batteries and electrolysers, using a modern cloud-based IT platform.
Create and enhance analytical dashboards with Business Intelligence tools.

Must have:

A degree in natural sciences, engineering, or economics (diploma, master’s, or PhD).
Familiarity with energy markets, statistical models, and time series analysis is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL or other database query languages is an advantage.
A team-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset, high motivation, eagerness to learn, and a hands-on approach.
Proficiency in both German and English.
