About the Role

We are seeking a customer‑focused Tech Support Specialist to join our team in Nuremberg, Germany. This office‑based role operates with minimal supervision and focuses on delivering high‑quality remote technical support and end‑user assistance to customers across Germany.

You will act as the first point of contact on the Spacelabs Service Hotline, diagnosing and resolving technical issues with our recording and patient monitoring equipment while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary responder for the Spacelabs customer service hotline
• Provide remote diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues
• Identify recurring technical problems and upscale them through appropriate internal channels
• Accurately complete all required service and support documentation in a timely manner
• Maintain clear and effective communication with your manager and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues across departments to ensure efficient service delivery
• Support the promotion and awareness of Spacelabs products and services to enhance customer satisfaction
• Partner with sales teams, regional field service engineers, and clinical specialists to support business growth
• Deliver online product demonstrations and customer training sessions when required
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Spacelabs solutions and relevant competitor offerings
• Adhere to all company policies relating to safety, quality, and operational compliance
• Submit accurate reports covering activities, expenses, and market or customer feedback
• Contribute to Spacelabs’ reputation for outstanding after‑sales technical support
• Perform additional tasks as required to meet evolving business needs

Qualifications

• Degree or vocational education in electronics, electrical engineering, or another technical / scientific discipline
• Proven experience in a customer‑focused technical support or service environment involving advanced electronic hardware, software, and IT systems

Technical Requirements

Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting:

• Microsoft Windows Server (2016–2025)
• IIS Web Server
• Windows 10 & 11
• Microsoft SQL Server (2014+)

Additional skills and attributes

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
• Competency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• SQL scripting experience preferred, but not required
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound technical judgment
• High attention to detail and the ability to work methodically under pressure
• Commercial awareness with a customer‑centric mindset

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel domestically on an occasional basis (<10%)
• Successful completion of Spacelabs training programs
• Flexibility to work varied shifts depending on installation or support requirements
• Compliance with vendor credentialing requirements (e.g. vaccinations, documentation)
• Valid driving licence with a strong driving record
