The Team

Celonis Value Engineering (VE) manages the entire customer value lifecycle, from sales through value realization, renewal and expansion. The Value Engineer Manager – Public Sector leads a dynamic team that identifies, frames, and delivers value to our customers.

The Role

As Value Engineering Manager – Public Sector you will drive end-to-end customer value journeys, expand ACV, and increase renewal rates. You will partner with Celonis GTM leadership to support all customers in your region/vertical, advising senior stakeholders and delivering strategic outcomes with the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform.

Key Responsibilities

Identify & Frame Value for Prospects/Customers

  • Own the end-to-end customer value journey, including landing, expanding, adoption, and renewing accounts.
  • Translate customers’ strategic objectives into high‑impact Celonis use cases and evangelize Process Intelligence across prospects and customers.
  • Communicate the value opportunity and strategic roadmap to C‑Level executives, partnering with sales leadership and Celonis executives.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor across the customer portfolio and solidify Celonis as a strategic business transformation platform for our customers.

Create & Scale Value Across the Portfolio

  • Lead customers through the Celonis Value Journey, supporting deployment of new features, apps, and products and advancing strategic growth programs.
  • Ensure customer success and architect improvement measures, managing change within the customer base while pioneering new methodologies within the Value Engineering organisation.
  • Direct Value Engineering, Services, and Ecosystem resources through the Customer Value Journey, creating durable value.
  • Take ownership and build strategic customer relationships as an executive sponsor.
  • Host QBRs and EBRs to communicate results and realized value to senior management and C‑level executives.

Grow & Lead Celonis Talent

  • Recruit the next‑generation of Value Engineers, setting a high standard for candidate excellence.
  • Develop world‑class talent through hands‑on engagement, continuous feedback, and active mentorship.
  • Lead by example and consistently demonstrate the Celonis Leadership Principles.
  • Allocate resources to deliver on company sales, renewals, value, and adoption targets.
  • Communicate success and risks proactively within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Finance or Supply Chain and experience in strategic transformation initiatives such as shared services or system transformation.
  • Deep understanding of public‑sector industry trends and strategic challenges for government agencies.
  • Experience guiding customers’ IT teams throughout their Celonis journey, building dashboards, apps, and action flows.
  • Project management skills: plan and manage scope, expectations, and timelines; leverage partners from the Celonis Ecosystem.
  • Executive stakeholder management: experience preparing and communicating results to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Celonis value‑selling methodology across discovery, qualification, value assessment, and PoV stages.
  • Track record of identifying use cases, implementing improvement measures, and driving change to realize value and renew/expand subscriptions.
  • Sales and commercial acumen: qualify engagements, conduct discovery, allocate resources, and champion the value‑selling methodology.
  • Leadership skills: lead by example, be hands‑on, and act as an organization role model.
  • Communication: native or near‑native fluency in English and German (written and verbal).
