As a participant in this unique outreach program, you will engage in one-on-one conversational classes with young and adult Buddhist monks at the monastery. You'll have the opportunity to share your language skills by teaching in both English and Chinese, fostering understanding and connection with diverse age groups. In return, you'll be invited to deepen your knowledge of Buddhism and spirituality, enriching your personal growth and cultural awareness.
Following an introductory week in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, you'll be warmly welcomed into the monastery's accommodations. Here, you'll share a comfortable room with fellow participants, creating a close-knit community of like-minded individuals. Situated in the serene Tinchuli neighborhood of Boudha, the monastery boasts a harmonious and well-designed campus, providing an ideal environment for both study and practice.
