Your future contribution

HomeToGo is looking for a Team Lead Accounting (German-speaking) (m/f/d) for our Marketplace. In this role, you will be responsible for all accounting-related processes of our Marketplace entities and cooperate closely with our Group Accounting Team to ensure alignment with all internal and external financial stakeholders, and that due dates for our monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting are met by monitoring and managing the month-end closing process in our financial close tool. You will contribute to HomeToGo’s success by leading special projects and initiatives that drive improvements and increase scalability. You will act as a central interface for all internal and external stakeholders on accounting topics, especially accounts receivable/payable, liquidity planning, and external reporting (HGB/IFRS). How you’ll add value

• Lead the Accounting Marketplace Team of up to 4 members (both technically and disciplinarily) to prepare monthly reporting according to IFRS and annual financial statements according to HGB (German GAAP).

• Prepare internal financial reports for the CFO, local MD, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Analyze, review, and improve existing accounting processes and implement new operational procedures and guidelines.

• Serve as the main contact for reporting topics for our Marketplace entities, liaising with internal and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, investors, etc.).

• Expand your skills in SAP S/4HANA and other SaaS solutions.

You’ll be successful in this role if you

• Have 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting according to HGB, with expertise in general ledger accounting, German VAT, and process improvements; IFRS experience is a plus.

• Can successfully lead and develop teams.

• Are committed, proactive, and willing to take ownership of processes and solutions.

• Possess excellent time management and self-organization skills.

• Have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with DATEV and SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.

• Are proficient in written and verbal English and German.
