    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of RELX. We are currently looking for a Vice President, Technology - Global Business Systems in North Carolina (USA).

    This role offers the opportunity to lead a global technology organization that drives digital transformation and operational excellence across multiple business systems. You will oversee the architecture, development, and delivery of internal platforms including CRM, marketing automation, eCommerce, and financial systems, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding technical roadmaps, and championing automation and AI solutions to enhance efficiency and decision-making. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, leadership experience, and strategic vision, thriving in a fast-paced, global environment. You will have the chance to shape innovative solutions that directly impact business growth and operational performance.

    Accountabilities

    • Lead the architecture, delivery, and optimization of global business systems including CRM, marketing automation, eCommerce, Order-to-Cash, Customer Service, and Business Intelligence platforms.
    • Collaborate with internal product managers and business leaders to translate business needs into well-architected digital solutions.
    • Ensure solutions meet business requirements efficiently, leveraging automation, improved processes, and data-driven decision-making.
    • Support development teams in prioritizing capabilities, resolving defects, and driving adoption of DevOps and Agile best practices.
    • Manage cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, including 3rd-party developers, ensuring knowledge transfer and alignment with business goals.
    • Champion innovative approaches, including generative AI, to enhance internal operations and digital delivery.
    • Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent while mentoring internal leaders and fostering a high-performing technology organization.

    Requirements

    • 15+ years of technology experience across CRM, marketing automation, eCommerce, Order-to-Cash, Business Intelligence, and financial systems.
    • 8+ years of management experience leading large, matrixed teams.
    • Proven track record leading complex, global implementations of Salesforce and associated systems, including legacy migrations.
    • Deep understanding of system architecture, digital transformation, and security/regulatory compliance.
    • Experience with DevOps practices, release management, source control, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GIT, SFDC Metadata API, ADO).
    • Strong executive presence, stakeholder management, and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
    • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy, optimize business processes, and implement scalable, innovative solutions.
