A leading global digital bank is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Marketing Strategy to shape, define, and deliver the go-to-market strategy for its expansion in Germany.

This is a high-impact, strategic role for a commercially minded professional who thrives at the intersection of consulting, marketing, and financial services innovation.

The Role

The Vice President of Marketing Strategy will lead the development of the marketing roadmap for the German market, partnering with senior stakeholders across marketing, product, and business leadership. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, building business cases, and driving data-driven decisions that support sustainable growth and strengthen brand performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the strategic marketing roadmap for the German market, aligned with business and product objectives.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
• Translate insights into actionable marketing strategies that enhance brand positioning and commercial outcomes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to evaluate new propositions, channels, and campaigns with commercial and regulatory awareness.
• Lead or support cross-functional initiatives influencing go-to-market activity, customer acquisition, and retention.
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and finance teams to evaluate ROI and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
• Provide thought leadership and contribute to strategic planning at both regional and global levels.

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in marketing strategy, management consulting, or business strategy roles.
• Experience within or alongside regulated industries such as banking, financial services, or fintech.
• Demonstrable commercial acumen and analytical capability, with a proven record of delivering strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with experience working across diverse teams.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Fluency in both German and English is essential.

The ideal candidate will bring several years’ experience in a top-tier consultancy or equivalent strategic role, with direct exposure to marketing and growth strategy. They will possess the curiosity, rigour, and drive to shape a new brand’s success in a highly competitive market.
