Werkstudent - Studienunterstützung Deep Learning (w/m/d)

Are you a student in a natural sciences or engineering program looking for an interesting working student position in the industry? Do you work independently and with high self‑motivation? In the "Image Analysis" team at HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH in Aalen, we are looking for a dedicated student (m/f/d) to support ongoing research and development studies. We are a young development team creating an innovative real‑time image processing application to enhance and evaluate video data and fuse sensor data, helping us make the invisible visible, detect threats, and automate manual evaluation processes.

In your role with us, you will work in support of research and development on state‑of‑the‑art algorithms on the (further) development of prototypes in close collaboration with the development team. A master's thesis following the internship is also possible. We look forward to your application!

Ihre Aufgaben:

• Durchführung wissenschaftlicher Literaturrecherchen
• Bewertung und Berichterstattung zum Stand der Technik bei Computervisionsalgorithmen
• Arbeit mit und Verbesserung von Datensätzen, die beim Training moderner KI‑Systeme verwendet werden
• Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung von Prototyp‑KI‑Systemen

Ihr Profil:

• Studierende(r) (m/w/d) der Fachrichtungen Informatik, Physik, Elektrotechnik, Luft‑ und Raumfahrttechnik, Mathematik oder ähnlicher Studiengänge
• Kenntnisse in der Programmierung mit Python und KI‑Algorithmen für Computer Vision
• Erfahrung in der Entwicklung moderner KI‑Systeme für Computer Vision, wie Segmentierung, Klassifizierung, Objekterkennung, Posenschätzung
• Grundkenntnisse zu aktuellen Forschungsthemen im Bereich Computer Vision sind von Vorteil
• Fähigkeiten in der wissenschaftlichen Literaturrecherche und im Verfassen von Forschungsberichten sind von Vorteil
• Außergewöhnlich gründliche Arbeitsweise
• Deutsch‑ oder Englischkenntnisse auf Muttersprachniveau
