Analyst (m/f/d), Global Transaction Advisory - Data Analytics

The Team

The Analyst (m/f/d) will join the Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) team within the Transaction Advisory Group. The GTA team provides data analytics services to support M&A , divestment, and investment strategies. The role involves working on diverse projects across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, technology, and financial services. The focus is on delivering data-driven insights to enhance decision-making throughout the transaction lifecycle.

How you will contribute

• Conduct transaction analytics to identify financial and operational trends.
• Assess the quality of financial and operational datasets of target companies.
• Analyze financial performance drivers using transactional and operational data.
• Clean, transform, and model data to derive actionable insights.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop client recommendations.
• Use advanced analytics tools to analyze large datasets and identify trends.
• Create deal-oriented reports and presentations using data visualization tools.
• Develop and implement data analytics strategies for transaction advisory services.
• Participate in meetings with target company management and clients.

Qualifications

• Education: MSc in Econometrics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Finance (with programming affinity).
• Languages: Fluent in German and English.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Proficiency in ETL and data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx , SQL , Python , R ).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau , PowerBI , Qlik ) is a plus.
• Prior internships in finance are advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
