What You’ll Do

As Chief GFA Strategic Program Management Expert (f/m/d) , you will lead complex, high‑impact, board‑sponsored Global Finance & Administration (GFA) programs that shape the future of SAP GFA’s strategic direction. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you’ll drive transformative initiatives across multiple GFA pillars, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure outcomes that align with SAP’s business goals.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead with authority. Take ownership of large‑scale, strategic GFA programs, managing every stage of the life cycle from conceptualization to execution and go live.
  • Strategically manage the program scope. Actively identify changes in scope, reassess requirements, adjust plans, resources, and budgets accordingly.
  • Drive impact. Define program deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and results align with strategic business objectives.
  • Foster collaboration. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders inside and outside GFA, including CPIT, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Master risk and quality. Identify risks, create contingency plans, and ensure quality assurance throughout the program’s life cycle.
  • Inspire teams. Mentor program teams, provide clear guidance, and create an environment that enables peak performance and collaboration.
  • Shape the future. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in GFA processes, tools, and solutions by sharing knowledge and contributing to best practices.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work on strategic programs that will leave a lasting impact on SAP GFA’s desired future state.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
  • Ideally, you also have 3–5 years of experience in GFA functions such as financial reporting, controlling, tax, treasury or GFA Operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously with high attention to detail. Ability to prioritize is key for success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. Strong presentation skills to C‑level executives.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decision‑making processes.
  • Strategic mindset. You can develop long‑term concepts, align stakeholders, and ensure that outcomes drive SAP’s strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership. You’ve successfully led and mentored cross‑functional teams, creating an environment of collaboration and high performance.
  • PMP, PgMP or similar certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
