D365 F&O Functional Architect

Our client, a leading European chemical manufacturing company, is embarking on multi-country D365 F&O rollouts as part of a major digital transformation program. We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Functional Architect to lead solution design, harmonize processes across entities, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and future-proof ERP solutions. This is a high-impact role working closely with business leaders, global process owners, solution architects, and implementation partners. The position is fully remote with occasional travel across Europe for key workshops and design sessions. Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end solution architecture for D365 F&O across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and related modules.Translate complex business requirements into scalable, robust, and compliant D365 F&O designs.Guide global template design and localizations for multiple European rollouts.Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to define requirements, fit-gap, and solution options.Define integration patterns and collaborate with technical teams for integrations (MES, LIMS, WMS, CRM, 3rd-party apps).Review and validate functional specifications, configurations, extensions, and data migration strategies.Ensure designs comply with GMP, REACH, sustainability, and other chemical manufacturing regulatory frameworks.Act as the main functional authority for D365 during implementation, testing, and deployment phases.Support change management, training, UAT, and go-live activities across business units.Serve as a trusted advisor to the client on best practices, roadmap planning, and platform governance. Required Experience & SkillsProven track record as a Functional Architect or Senior Functional Consultant on multi-country rollouts.Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following: Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning and Procurement.Understanding of European statutory, tax, and localization requirements.
