EIB Trainee - Information Systems Directorate - Network & Data Centres Unit - based in Luxembourg

The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Information Systems Directorate (IS) - Platforms & Services Department (P&S) - Infrastructure Services Division (IS) - Network & Data Centres Unit (NDC), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026) (With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University) Please note that, as marked on our Webpage, only applications from nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens from countries that have been officially granted candidate status to join the EU, can be considered (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine). Objective of the traineeship You will contribute to ongoing projects for Network and Data Center Unit with an emphasis on: MPLS lines for EIB external offices.New building design Wireless migration.Contribute to update schema and documentation in close collaboration with senior engineers of the team.Improve existing templates (if any gaps are identified).Design automation scripts. Responsibilities Your responsibilities include: Participate in meetings to understand design decisions.Review documents and propose comments. Get accustomed with new technologies (on-prem and cloud). Prepare new hardware based on procedures and templates. Update monitoring system after the installation of new equipment. Update related documentation after new installations.Follow the functional mailbox and organize incoming communication. Use EIB internal tools like ticketing system and document repository. Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills Final year of studies or University degree in computer science or related disciplines. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.Advantageous: Cisco CCNA studies or certification, any experience or courses of Cloud technologies, any other network vendor courses or experience, any automation or scripting/programing language experience.
