Overview

Job Description Summary English Version - The FP&A and Cash Manager for Western Europe and Francophone Africa (VEGA Zone) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Zone’s strategic ambitions by leading robust financial planning and performance management processes. Reporting directly to the Zone CFO, this role drives informed decision-making by delivering timely insights and business recommendations. The manager will lead a team of Product Finance and FP&A Analysts, coordinate Cash Leaders across LCTs, and collaborate with both Zone and International cross-functional stakeholders.

Location This role can be performed from any country within the EMEA region. The final work location will be the successful candidate’s current country or another mutually agreed location within the region.

Version Française - Le/la Responsable FP&A et Trésorerie pour l’Europe de l’Ouest et l’Afrique francophone (Zone VEGA) joue un rôle clé dans le soutien des ambitions stratégiques de la Zone, en pilotant des processus robustes de planification financière et de gestion de la performance. Rattaché(e) directement au CFO de la Zone, ce poste contribue à une prise de décision éclairée en fournissant des analyses pertinentes, opportunes et des recommandations business. Le/la Manager encadrera une équipe d’analystes FP&A et Finance Produits, coordonnera les Cash Leaders au sein des différentes LCT, et collaborera étroitement avec des parties prenantes transverses, à la fois au niveau Zone et International.

Lieu Lieu : Le poste peut être exercé depuis n’importe quel pays de la région EMEA. Le lieu final sera celui du candidat retenu ou un lieu alternatif convenu ensemble.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Required Competencies

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Drive the development and execution of the Zone’s financial planning cycles in alignment with strategic and long‑term objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define financial targets and KPIs that promote sustainable growth and margin expansion.
  • Oversee budgeting, rolling forecasts, and estimates in collaboration with functional leaders and finance teams.
  • Monitor actual performance versus budget/forecast, perform variance analysis, and identify actions to optimize resource allocation.
  • Deliver high‑quality financial reporting, including risk/opportunity assessments, to the VEGA Leadership Team and coordinate Monthly Reviews with International Finance.

Financial Analysis & Business Partnering

  • Lead complex financial analysis to evaluate business performance, assess investment opportunities, and support strategic decisions.
  • Provide actionable recommendations grounded in financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk analysis.
  • Present financial insights and strategies clearly to a broad audience, including Zone and International stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between financial plans and operational execution.
  • Act as a finance business partner, bringing clarity, challenge, and support to commercial and operational leaders.

Cash Management

  • Serve as the Cash Leader for the VEGA zone, partnering closely with LCT Cash Leaders to track and drive performance against Collections, Past Dues and Unbill targets on a weekly basis.
  • Lead and support execution of structural initiatives aimed at sustainably improving cash metrics and working capital efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for both the VEGA Leadership Team and International Cash Team, ensuring clear reporting of cash performance drivers, as well as risks and opportunities through operating forums including RoR (Region Operating Review), Quarterly Risk Review with controllership, Quarter-End Close processes.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Foster a performance‑driven culture focused on simplification, speed, and accuracy in decision‑making.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and governance to drive efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Champion the adoption of automation and best practices in reporting, analysis, and planning.
  • Embed operational discipline within the FP&A and Cash function by deploying the GEHC operating model “Heartbeat”.
  • Define and sustain standard work across core financial processes, lead the development and execution of action plans to meet objectives, and implement robust daily management systems to monitor performance, escalate issues, and drive consistent execution.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals, creating a high‑performance and collaborative environment.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and innovation across the FP&A and Cash network.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GE Healthcare’s financial, commercial, and service operating models.
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial statement interpretation.
  • Advanced skills in cost/profit analysis and strategic scenario modeling.
  • Familiarity with financial risk assessment and market synthesis techniques.
  • High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data consolidation.
  • Experience with Power BI and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
