Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate global patent management within the SSI Schäfer Group.
Lead and develop a team of patent managers at different locations.
Work with patent and legal counsels as the company representative before patent offices and courts.
Support patent attorneys in preparing and prosecuting office actions against third-party patents.
Coordinate objections, refusals, and litigation threats on a group level.
Support R&D and project teams in identifying protectable intellectual property.
Internal review of invention disclosures and decisions on filings.
Advise global marketing on strategic positioning of trademark filings.
Assess IP-related risks in partnerships, collaborations and acquisitions.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with management.

Profile / Qualifications

Master degree in logistics, business administration, engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or comparable field.
Over 5 years of professional and industry experience.
Foundational knowledge in patents; practical experience is desirable.
Strong understanding of intralogistics and familiarity with common document and knowledge management software (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
Excellent communication skills and a trustworthy demeanor.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, including across locations.
Structured, precise work style and analytical thinking.
Travel willingness (~20%) and readiness for mobile/hybrid work (100%).
