Responsibilities
- Provide IT desktop support, systems administration, network administration, customer service, equipment/hardware support, and telecommunications services for USACE NAU users and organizations.
- Responsible for Local Area Network (LAN) management and the technical operation of layer 2 network devices. Troubleshoot issues with LAN connectivity, server connections, and PC hardware/software.
- Provide IT customer support; respond to technical support tickets within priority timelines. Interface with the Enterprise Service Desk and assist both classified and unclassified computer users.
- Analyze equipment and software usage to identify problem areas. Make recommendations regarding efficient automation approaches. Support lifecycle management of IT equipment through exchange/disposal.
- Assist in implementing hardware/software solutions to ensure information requirements are met in accordance with information assurance and security standards.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to satisfy the requirements of 26JUL12 DODI V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Stateside and USAREUR driver's license.
- The incumbent must possess a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or complete the certification within six months of appointment.
- Lifting requirement of up to 45 lbs.
