NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is on call.
This is a Fixed term post for 6 months.
These vacancies exist between 5th Aug 2026 and 2nd Feb 2027 throughout the West of Scotland and will be based within training hospitals in the WOS school of anaesthesia. The posts hold educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will be appointed as LATs.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.

LAT posts are suitable for anaesthetic trainees who need to complete stage1, or start stage 2, clinical experience under the auspices of the RCOA 2021 curriculum.
Relevant UK Equivalent Stage 1 Experience Is Usually Essential.
Posts are competitive and priority is given to those who can evidence good training progression.
