Situated on StresemannstraĂźe 95, between Kreuzberg, Mitte, and Potsdamer Platz, it offers a premium cocktail-driven experience. In addition to its engaging atmosphere, the venue hosts corporate events, trade fair evenings, and brand activations.
Role summary
The Day Manager owns the day-to-day running of The Gibson outside of service hours - keeping the operation tight, the team scheduled, suppliers paid, stock controlled, and the business ready for flawless evenings and events.
This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the world's best cocktail bars without the need to work late nights.
Key responsibilities
- Be the owner's right-hand in operations, budgeting and financial control
- Run daily admin and operational planning
- Build and manage staff schedules; track hours and rota changes, approve holidays and meet staffing budgets
- Recruitment: screening, interview coordination, onboarding paperwork
- Track financials: invoices, supplier payments, basic reporting and cost control
- Manage stock: counts, ordering, receiving deliveries, storage standards
- Maintain supplier relationships and resolve delivery/invoice issues
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs; log issues and follow through to completion
- Keep operational trackers up to date (stock, staffing, costs, maintenance)
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years in hospitality operations/management (bar, hotel or restaurant preffered)
- Highly organized, numbers-comfortable, and detail-driven
- Tech-savy and comfortable with various organizational systems and Excel/sheets
- Confident communicator with staff and suppliers
- English required; German a strong plus
- Calm, proactive, and hands-on. A real go-getter!
