We're seeking someone to join our team as a Risk Manager in Operations to drive identification, assessment, remediation and reporting of non-financial risks.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.
This is an Advanced Specialist position at Vice President level within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with cross-silo Operations risk and regulatory obligations teams to ensure all MSESE Group-relevant risks are properly identified and incorporated into the Firm's risk profile
  • Proactively challenge operational functions to identify, assess, and elevate emerging risks, ensuring robust oversight and strengthening the overall control environment.
  • Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts
  • Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution
  • Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations

What You’ll Bring In The Role

  • Front‑to‑back knowledge of the Operations processes, non‑financial risks framework and key regulations that influence the team with a comprehensive understanding of job‑related operational/compliance policies and procedures
  • Ability to address non‑standard issues within one's area of expertise
  • Culture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate those around you
  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to meet the skills required for this role
