Overview
Monitor, manage, and/or underwrite an assigned portfolio of Commercial Real Estate loans and relationships. Collaborates and teams with Commercial Banking frontline to manage customer and portfolio, as well as has direct interaction with customers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of assigned commercial real estate loans which includes collaboration with frontline as well as direct interface with customers to perform any of the following: negotiate renewals, modifications, restructures, workouts, annual loan reviews, annual covenant compliance checks; including compilation of financial documentation, credit analysis and underwriting as applicable to each action.
- Responsible for effective analysis, assessment, and assignment of risk ratings, including preparation of related documentation and/or credit actions as required.
- Works with the customer to develop an action plan to get the loan back to a pass credit status on adversely risk rated loans.
- Manages matured loan exits as assigned, insured loss claims and/or other problem loan types including transfers to Special Assets.
- Ensures payments, property taxes and insurance on the collateral are kept current. Negotiates and documents action plans relative to past due payments, taxes and expired insurance.
- Oversees the collection of the required financial information from the borrowers/guarantors in a timely manner.
- Ensures that the financial information is analyzed utilizing the Bank’s methodology.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You
Experience
- 7-10 years — of relevant commercial real estate portfolio management and underwriting experience. Significant experience successfully managing the most complex and valuable customers. (Required)
Skills
- Advanced portfolio management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, and credit and credit quality skills, including commercial collection and workout.
- Extremely strong knowledge of commercial lending products and services.
- Advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis experience.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Extremely strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
- Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
- May act as a subject matter expert and/or mentor/direct other junior members of the team.
- Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.
Travel
Compensation and Location
The pay range for this role is $66,000.00 - $119,000.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
