Project Engineer – Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) | Hamburg | Food Industry

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Electrical Engineering) to support a high-impact project in the food industry, with a strong focus on electrical planning and automation.

This role addresses a critical capacity gap within the engineering team and offers the opportunity to contribute to complex industrial projects in a dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Electrical engineering planning for industrial projects
• Translating technical requirements into RFQs and specification documents
• Design and planning of switchgear and control cabinets (layout, placement, concept)
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards
• Supporting automation and electrical engineering activities across project phases

Your Profile

• Degree or strong background in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in electrical planning in industrial environments
• Experience with switchgear / cabinet design and planning
• Ability to create technical specifications and RFQ documentation
• Knowledge of German standards and regulations
• German (required) – project language
• Experience in the food industry is a strong advantage (liquid processing a plus)
• Location: Hamburg
• Start: Summer–Autumn (part-time onboarding possible earlier)
• Workload: Full-time (~40h/week from summer)
• Travel: ~20% within Germany
• Work model: Primarily on-site, with occasional home office by agreement
