Regional Distribution Account Manager – Central & East Europe

Preferably located near Bonn, Cologne or Munich

From your home office, you will be responsible for the support and further development of our distributors and OEM customers in the D/A/CH, Eastern Europe and Benelux region. As a specialist, you sell our entire product portfolio and develop relationships in the distribution channel.

What do we expect from you?

  • Develop and implement strategic plans with Distribution Directors to support regional business needs
  • Act as the link between corporate functions and branch offices to ensure consistent communication and alignment
  • Identify priority accounts and growth‑driven industry segments
  • Evaluate customer applications and match opportunities with Samtec’s product and market focus
  • Conduct regular branch visits to build relationships, assess performance, deliver training, and support development
  • Review applications, quotations, and opportunities to advance projects through the pipeline
  • Coordinate product and system training for distributor teams
  • Participate in joint customer visits with distributors, EMS, and contract manufacturing teams
  • Communicate new opportunities to Market Development Managers and support qualification processes
  • Review and provide guidance on design registration requests when appropriate
  • Perform additional tasks aligned with organizational needs

Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical engineering, business administration or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable, possibly technically oriented sales function are an advantage
  • Knowledge in the field of electromechanics or semiconductor technologies is desirable, but not a requirement. Extensive product training is part of the training period
  • Very good spoken and written German, as well as good knowledge of English
  • Valid driving license
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of your time
  • Residence in the sales area
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hands‑on mentality
  • Analytical thinking
  • Social skills and ability to work in a team
