We are searching for the best talent for our Regional Surgical Manager EMEA (m/f/d) .

This is a field-based role available in multiple countries within Europe. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, they are examples only and do not limit your application. Purpose

The Regional Surgical Manager EMEA is responsible for leading the Surgical Account Manager (SAM) & Clinical Consultants outside of DACH. The RSM leads and executes key business initiatives and implements the resources required for developing and growing ABMD’s business. They manage the team’s strategic and tactical operations to ensure achievement of business outcomes that address patient care and outcomes. They articulate and support the organization’s mission, vision, goals and strategies and translate these to the surgical sales team.

You will be responsible for

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan aligned with corporate objectives that empowers the regional O/DACH team to exceed revenue plans and patient support. Conduct AARs and plan of action with local regional surgical team.
  • Identify opportunities, generate market awareness and drive adoption of ABMD surgical product portfolio.
  • Support and open new accounts and build KOL network.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Sales/Clinical team through 1:1 travel and on-site coaching.
  • Coordinate and manage joint activities with local Regional Manager, Physician Program team, Marketing & Training Department, as well as local Cardiological Franchise Teams.
  • Ensure the competence of staff and clients through development, retention and performance management of the Sales/Clinical Team.
  • Continuously develop the team’s personal and professional skills.
  • Grow and establish peer-to-peer surgical networks to share best practices and develop peer-to-peer educational programs.
  • Coordinate with the PPD team, Medical Office, Marketing and local teams.
  • Support surgical campaigns with the EU/US Marketing Teams.
  • Represent the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty and professionalism.
  • Conferences: Represent us at surgical conferences across the EMEA region.
  • In rare situations where no team member is available, provide case support as required.
  • Ability to travel regularly up to 80%.
  • Regular meetings with field team and clients are required.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • College degree required, preferably in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven and experienced sales professional with strong medical device background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device sales, ideally in Cardiac Surgery/Cardiology (Mechanical Circulatory Support) or related therapeutic areas.
  • Prior leadership experience including responsibility for leading and managing sales teams.
  • Strong combination of commercial expertise and medical understanding.
  • Performing duties and responsibilities in accordance with all laws and regulations required for the medical device industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent English are required; additional languages are highly valued.
