RF/Analog IC Layout Engineer

My client is seeking a RF/Analog IC Layout Engineer to join their highly skilled international team developing cutting-edge silicon photonics-based interconnect solutions for high-speed data centres. This role is based in Berlin and hybrid is an option.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the layout of monolithically integrated electronic circuits that complement photonic devices. Your day to day will be the design of high-speed drivers and amplifiers targeting up to 400 Gb/s transmission, collaborating closely with photonic design and system teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop layouts for high-speed integrated circuit blocks enabling advanced photonic data transmission
• Block- and core-level verification (LVS, DRC, ERC, EMIR)
• Collaborate closely with photonic design and system engineering teams
• Apply consistent layout methodologies and support scalable design environments

Your Qualifications And Skills

B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Some industry experience in ideally RF IC Layout (or Analog IC Layout), BiCMOS or CMOS, Cadence Design tools
Strong knowledge of chip-level layout flows and DFM practices
