To support our growth in the European market, we are looking for a passionate BESS Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Berlin.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated BESS Sales Manager to drive the commercial expansion of our utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage solutions across Germany and the broader European market. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and leading the sales process from initial lead generation to contract closing. We welcome applications from both established sales professionals and high‑potential candidates at a Junior or Mid‑level who possess a strong technical or commercial background in renewables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and qualify new business opportunities with project developers, IPPs, utilities, and industrial clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand Samsung C&T’s market share in the European BESS sector.
  • Technical Consultation: Work closely with engineering teams to provide tailored BESS solutions that meet specific grid and client requirements.
  • Proposal Management: Lead the preparation of commercial offers, technical proposals, and tender responses (RFPs/RFQs).
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage the full negotiation process, including commercial terms and supply agreements, to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, regulatory changes (e.g., EEG, grid services), and competitor activities in the DACH region.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long‑term, high‑level partnerships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Experience

  • For Mid/Senior Level: 5–10+ years of B2B sales experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong track record in utility‑scale BESS or solar PV.
  • For Junior Level: 1–3 years of professional experience in sales, business development, or technical account management, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of battery storage systems, energy markets, and the technical integration of renewables into the grid.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and German is required (written and spoken), as you will be dealing with local German clients, authorities, and international headquarters.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; a proactive "hunter" mindset with a focus on results.
