Civil Setting Out Engineer – Data Centre Project – Düsseldorf, Germany

We are currently seeking a Civil Setting Out Engineer to join a major data centre development in Düsseldorf. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of Europe’s leading international main contractors, renowned for delivering large-scale, high-tech projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for all civil and structural works.
• Interpreting and checking construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Ensuring works are carried out in line with project programmes and quality standards.
• Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintaining accurate records of site activities, measurements, and progress.
• Supporting the implementation of health & safety procedures on site.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on large-scale construction projects (data centre or high-tech projects desirable).
• Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and setting out techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• EU passport – candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered.
• Fluent English, with German language skills an advantage.
