Overview

Description Client Solution Architects (CSA) is seeking a System Integration Engineer III to support a program at Hohenfels, Germany.

CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services for nearly 50 years, applying experienced teams, tools, and processes to advance federal missions across defense and federal sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration for constructive simulations and gaming models, including maintaining Windows 10/11 workstations, Windows Server 2012R2/2019/2022, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6/7/8/9 servers/workstations, including software updates, patches, and baselines.
  • Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications and installation documentation.
  • Provide server administration of simulation systems in Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) simulation architectures.
  • Operate software in distributed architectures in Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) environments.
  • Ensure technical operations, setup, and teardown of servers, systems, and integration tools; maintain RMF compliance; contribute to exercise design and technical planning products.
  • Create constructive simulation and gaming simulation databases.
  • Configure and manage Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS), including ADSI, AFATDS, EMT, AMDWS, DCGS-A, JBC-P, MMC-S, TAIS, GCCS-A, TCCS, CPOF, MCIS, CPCE, and JADOCS.
  • Integrate simulation and Combat Training Center instrumentation systems.
  • Support exercise and training event design, planning, preparation, and evaluation.
  • Test all beta and new simulation software, integration software or tools, and simulation federations.
  • Administer simulation software including JLCCTC, LOTS, JCATS, JECS, and DXTRS.
  • Integrate simulation data using DIS or HLA to stimulate mission command systems.
  • Provide technical integration solutions and recommendations for exercises (Sim-Stim architectures).
  • Create constructive, mission command interface, and gaming simulation databases in support of an exercise, event, or testing.
  • Provide system administration and support for the Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE).
  • Support preparation, execution, pre-exercise setup, and post-exercise recovery and reset of facilities, workstations, TOC Pads, and training areas.
  • Participate in training, seminars, conferences, exercise planning events, site surveys, and product development as needed.
  • Support planning and preparation processes and provide input to exercise and training products as required.

Qualifications

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret w/SCI.
  • Education/Experience: A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, OR an associate’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, OR a major IT certification plus 7 years of related experience, OR 11 years of related experience.
  • Certification: Possession of a valid CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification per DoDM DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF).
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document and update processes; meet deadlines; interact with senior Government and Industry leaders; and maintain attention to detail.
  • Capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods; ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 4 weeks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; willingness to travel to locations throughout the USAREUR-AF Theater in Europe and Africa.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience installing and configuring current Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience creating constructive, battle command interface, and gaming simulation databases for exercises or testing.
  • Experience with DoD modeling and simulation defense programs.
  • Experience configuring, operating, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining simulation and communications software, including JLCCTC/WARSIM/WIM, JCATS, LOTS, MUSE, and related systems.
  • Experience in database creation for JLCCTC, JCATS, JDLM, JLVC, AFATDS, and related programs.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Enterprise Services: MECM, AD DS, AD FS, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Exchange Server.
