AI Manager – Enterprise Applications (all genders)

As an AI Manager at Roland Berger, you will shape and operate our enterprise AI orchestration platform within Central IT. You’ll own end-to-end AI solutions from intake to deployment, ensuring secure, scalable integration with business applications and measurable value. You’ll bridge business, data/AI, and infrastructure, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to lead governance, compliance, and platform evolution. This leadership role emphasizes strategic architecture and cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption and transformation.

• Own the AI platform — lead end-to-end ownership of the AI ecosystem, including orchestration layer, agent frameworks, LLM integrations, routing infrastructure; shape roadmap and budget; inform build-vs-buy decisions
• Lead projects & products — manage end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives across cross-functional teams
• Manage vendors — be primary contact for AI and cloud vendors; negotiate contracts, SLAs, budgets; monitor performance
• Drive change management — lead adoption efforts, manage stakeholder expectations, embed AI capabilities across the organization
• Lead governance & compliance — establish responsible AI frameworks for agent behavior, model lifecycle, data protection, access control; ensure regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, GDPR)
• Provide technical oversight — define architecture standards for AI orchestration and agent design; review solution proposals (no hands-on development)

• Master's degree in relevant fields and 9–10 years in product & tech
• At least 3 years in AI product/platform ownership or management
• Experience in a consulting environment for 3–5 years is required
• Practitioner with frontier systems (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) including advanced features
• Hands-on familiarity with AI orchestration platforms and agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Azure AI Foundry) and LLM-based solutions
• Proven project and product management experience in complex environments
• Strong vendor management for contract negotiation, SLAs, and supplier relationships
• Demonstrated change management capability—driving adoption and enabling transformation
• Strategic, analytical mindset; ability to translate business needs into AI platform designs
• Strong stakeholder management and communication; able to align diverse groups and explain technical topics
• Ability to lead cross-functional, virtual, and external teams without formal authority
• High ownership, reliability, and solution orientation; comfortable in a dynamic, international environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English; other languages are a plus
