AI Quality Assurance Expert (m/f/d)

In this role you ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of AI solutions across development to deployment. You will design validation frameworks and telemetry to support trusted AI-enabled decision-making at MANN+HUMMEL. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality gates, monitor AI behavior, and maintain audit-ready validation records. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of AI, software quality, and operational readiness, offering an opportunity to shape trustworthy AI across the organization.

• Hybrid working (4 days in Ludwigsburg, 1 day mobile)

• Validate AI models and systems across development, testing, deployment, and operation
• Create and run test plans and validation frameworks for AI products, ML solutions, LLM apps, and agentic systems
• Design automated tests integrated into MLOps and LLM delivery pipelines
• Define acceptance criteria and quality gates for AI systems (functional quality, robustness, explainability, operational readiness)
• Establish telemetry, observability, and monitoring for AI behavior (drift detection, anomaly detection, compliance tracking)
• Maintain traceable validation evidence and audit-ready records of test activities and decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align quality requirements and release readiness

• 5-10 years of experience in software testing, QA, test automation, or validation of digital products
• Experience validating ML or LLM-based solutions is strongly preferred
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and quality orientation
• Proficiency in Python and test/automation frameworks
• Experience with version control, defect tracking, and structured test documentation
• Very good English; German is a plus
