AIT Operations Engineer - Launch Vehicle (m/f/d)

Overview

In this role you will lead and optimize the launch vehicle AIT workflows, coordinating interface management across Testing, Logistics and Quality Assurance. You will steer the vehicle integration timeline and build tooling to plan and monitor activities. You participate in engineering change management and drive the non-conformance process to enable timely, safe launcher assembly. You will engage cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Launch Operations and Production to embed AIT requirements, and you will pursue internal process improvements and facility concepts across Isar Aerospace sites. This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary role at the heart of our space mission.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Create, maintain, and optimize the launch vehicle AIT workflows
  • Manage operational interfaces of the launcher integration team (Testing, Logistics, Quality Assurance)
  • Manage and improve the vehicle integration timeline
  • Create tooling to plan, monitor, and optimize launcher integration activities
  • Participate in and drive engineering change management from initial change requests to hardware implementation
  • Contribute to non-conformance process by assessing criticality and defining corrective/preventive actions
  • Represent AIT to internal stakeholders ensuring requirements are integrated into decisions
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements to increase efficiency and data flow
  • Ensure safe execution by implementing PPE, ESD, and HSE rules with the HSE team
  • Develop and realise concepts for AIT facilities across all sites
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or similar
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to drive technical decisions or resolution of risks with system owners
  • Extensive experience in project management
  • Clean, organized, and structured way of work
  • Basic knowledge in Python, C++, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software
  • Fluent in English
