Area Sales Manager – Robotic Surgical Technologies

Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for the Hugo Robotic Assisted Surgery System
Sell the Hugo RAS System, end effectors, and service
Build business cases, total cost of ownership comparisons, cost-per-procedure analyses, and contracts
Engage budget holders and hospital executives to support purchasing decisions
Create and deliver workshops, system presentations, proposals, and contracts
Collaborate with internal teams to expand robotic-assisted surgery opportunities
Identify and prioritize market opportunities through market analysis
Support hospitals integrating the Hugo Surgical Robotic System
Build long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals and hospital leadership
Coordinate with Minimally Invasive Surgery specialists and technical support teams
Support customers throughout the sales cycle and post-purchase
Analyze market data, competition, and sales forecasts
Close significant contracts and track sales performance
Maintain technical knowledge for product demonstrations, training, and customer inquiries
Spend significant time in the field and travel frequently to clients and colleagues
Promote and sell Medtronic medical/scientific equipment and services within assigned accounts
Develop relationships with hospitals, physicians, and radiology and surgical personnel
Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services
Conduct market research and implement market development plans
Communicate customer feedback to R&D, Operations, and Marketing

Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 10+ years experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 8+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years experience in sales in a medical and/or operating room environment
3 years of dedicated capital complex selling required
Must be able to travel region assigned (50% plus)
Expertise in surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic-assisted surgery
Active network in surgery, operating rooms, and surgeons
Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to company policies
Strong communication and critical-thinking abilities
Modern computer literacy
Experience working in a matrix structure
Strong negotiation skills
Valid driver's license
Must reside within the assigned territory
Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hiring and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
