Assistant Buyer (m/f/d)

JOIN OUR TEAM

As an Assistant Buyer , you will join a high‑performing team to support product development and internal production matters within Westwing's furniture category. You will take ownership of quality specifications, sample follow‑ups, and purchase order management. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will coordinate photo shoots, manage marketing samples, and have the opportunity to work with diverse product types, such as dining and coffee tables. This position is limited to 1 year and located in Munich .

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist the category buyer with all daily operational tasks, and collaborate closely with our Creative and Quality teams during the product development process
• Own the product development cycle by managing samples as well as raising and supervising purchase orders
• Maintain warehouse-, quality- and customer service‑related queries
• Act as a direct contact for our Asian and European business partners
• Use AI and automation tools to streamline sample follow‑ups and data maintenance tasks

YOU COME WITH

• A Bachelor's degree in Business or another relevant field
• Previous internship or first work experience in a buying or sourcing office is a plus
• A proactive, structured, and goal‑oriented working style with a strong hands‑on mentality
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
• Fluency in English; German skills are a plus
