Associate - Corporate Finance (Industrials)

Overview

In this role you support the Industrials M&A advisory and financing solutions team in Frankfurt, contributing to financial analyses, client interactions, and deal execution. You will build financial models, prepare materials, and lead parts of marketing engagements while coordinating due diligence. Your work enables senior bankers to deliver value to corporate and financial sponsor clients in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will grow through significant responsibility and direct client contact, with a focus on a chemicals-related Industrials sector expertise.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information
Create financial models
Coordinate and perform business due diligence
Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other materials
Value companies and businesses
Lead the planning and execution of marketing engagements
Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, professional advisors, and other stakeholders
Supervise junior staff members in financial analyses
Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements

Zentrale Anforderungen

Fluency in German and English (verbal and written)
Strong Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3–5 years of M&A experience or related transactional/consulting experience
Experience in the Industrials sector, preferably Chemicals
Fundamental understanding of valuation methodologies and applications
Advanced financial modelling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modelling
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
Understanding of financial statement analysis and modeling key assumptions
Strong knowledge of Excel
Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver
Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Motivated, collaborative with staff at all levels in a fast-changing environment
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
