Associate - Corporate Finance (Technology)

As an Associate in Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Team in Frankfurt, you’ll contribute to high-impact financial advisory for tech clients. You’ll build and explain financial models, value companies, and coordinate due diligence to enable strategic decisions. You’ll manage marketing engagements, client interactions, and supervision of junior staff, while collaborating with senior professionals. This role combines entrepreneurial ownership with rigorous analysis in a fast-paced environment. You’ll join a global leader known for data-driven advice and strong client relationships, with opportunities to shape outcomes across M&A, financing, and valuation advisory.

• Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information
• Create financial models
• Coordinate and perform business due diligence
• Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other materials
• Value companies and businesses
• Lead the planning and execution of marketing engagements
• Build relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professionals
• Supervise junior staff in financial analyses
• Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• Strong academic track record
• 3–5 years of investment banking experience in M&A, generalist, or industry team
• Knowledge or experience in the technology sector is favorable
• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies and applications
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities (LBO and DCF)
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
• Understanding of financial statement analysis and critical assumptions
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
• Motivated and able to work with all levels in a fast-changing, demanding environment
