As a Backend Engineer, your code will form the foundation that protects and connects the digital identity of users around the world.

Location: Seoul, Paris, and San Francisco.

Design and develop the core backend systems and high-availability infrastructure of the hConnect platform.
Integrate with diverse identity systems, developing modules that connect to national electronic ID (eID) systems and external identity services worldwide.
Build scalable systems that remain stable while progressively improving to handle future traffic growth and feature expansion.
Design flexible and scalable APIs that enable seamless integration with internal services and external partners.
Foster a strong code culture through collaboration, code reviews, clean and maintainable code, and engineering excellence.

Strong fundamentals: solid understanding of Node.js and TypeScript, with at least two years of backend development experience.

Depth in specific technologies: strong CS fundamentals and hands‑on mastery of at least one technology.
Authentication protocol experience: practical experience with OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and access token flows.
0‑to‑1 product experience: built early‑stage products and learned from scaling them to meet business goals.
Understanding of client environments: especially experience addressing compatibility challenges across browsers and mobile platforms.
Commitment to code quality: experience with test automation and efforts to continuously improve code quality.
Large‑scale traffic handling: design and operate architectures that support high‑volume traffic.
API gateway / PaaS / SaaS development experience.
Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
