Business Development Manager - Data Centre (f/m/d)

E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions GmbH (EIS), a subsidiary of the E.ON Group, is a multinational integrator of managed energy solutions for B2B customers and the public sector. We make energy more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective across Europe with tailor‑made energy generation and management systems. Your Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and manage international key accounts in the data center segment (hyperscalers, colocation, neocloud providers).
  • Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships at C‑suite level.
  • Apply structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Miller Heimann, Relationship Selling, and Value‑Based Selling to drive systematic business development.
  • Have an extensive and growing network within the Data Center market as well as a broad professional background with strong sales and commercial experience and knowledge of the energy industry and large energy infrastructure solutions.

Segment Strategy & Market Development

  • Co‑develop and implement the central segment strategy for data centers in close collaboration with the Segment Lead.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for target markets, in conjunction with the Marketing function, and build use cases.
  • Develop and establish Customer Value Propositions together with our Solutions Factory and responsible business units.
  • Actively participate in relevant associations (e.g., DCA UK, GDA, EUDCA, Bitkom) and coordinate lobbying at national and EU levels.

International Key Account Management Community & Knowledge Sharing

  • Build and maintain an internal cross‑country data center community to foster knowledge exchange and synchronize activities across business units.
  • Collaborate closely with functional units and all relevant central functions.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in Economics, Engineering or similar.
  • Several years of experience in international key account management or business development, ideally in energy infrastructure and with strong connection with data centers.
  • Strong network within data center segment.
  • Proven track record in project management.
  • Proactive hands‑on mentality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and proactive management of decision‑making processes.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating cross‑country teams or similar growth platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the economic, technical and legal context of complex energy infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and sales mindset.
