Cloud Architect- AWS (m/f/d)

In this role you design, govern, and optimize enterprise AWS infrastructure to enable scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud platforms. You work across architecture, security, cost management, and enablement, partnering with application teams and cross-functional groups. You will shape landing zones, guardrails, and policy enforcement while driving cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. You help ensure high availability, compliance, and FinOps practices at scale, delivering clear architecture documentation and decisions.

• Design and maintain enterprise AWS infrastructure architectures (accounts, networking, compute, storage, databases)
• Define and evolve Landing Zones, reference architectures, and infrastructure patterns
• Ensure high availability, DR, scalability, and performance across workloads
• Define and enforce cloud standards, guardrails, IAM, network security baselines
• Embed security by design and implement logging, monitoring, and audit controls
• Support compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal IT security policies
• Drive cost transparency and optimization, including tagging and cost allocation
• Act as AWS infrastructure advisor to application, DevOps, and operations teams
• Collaborate with architects, security, operations, and partners; maintain architecture documentation

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud architecture experience
• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale AWS environments
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Strong understanding of network architecture, IAM, high availability, and disaster recovery patterns
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD in cloud environments
• Experience in global or multi-team IT organizations (preferred)
