Commercial Operations Manager LNG (m/f/d)

In 2023, we became the lead consultant and in 2025 also the On‑Site Operations Manager for Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET)—Germany’s state‑owned terminal operator, created to respond to the national energy supply challenges triggered by the Ukraine crisis.

Aufgaben

• Receive and process gas delivery nominations submitted by terminal users.
• Coordinate closely with FSRU operators to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of all nominations.
• Coordinate and support all relevant stakeholders with regard to due diligence activities related to FSRU LNG terminals and LNG carrier operations.
• Monitor and manage LNG inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate ship‑to‑ship (STS) transfer operations in accordance with operational and safety requirements.
• Support the fulfillment and administration of obligations arising from Terminal Use Agreements (TUAs).
• Manage gas dispatching activities to ensure reliable and efficient gas transmission operations.
• Perform gas accounting activities and prepare operational and commercial reporting.

Qualifikation

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline, preferably in Engineering.
• An advanced degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an advantage.
• More than five years of commercial, financial, and technical experience.
• Proven knowledge of and experience with contracts related to energy services, construction, and commodities.
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
