Communications & Content Manager

Our dynamic and motivated team has great ambitions. For the expansion of our Communications team we are looking for a Communications & Content Manager (m/f/d) in our Munich, Berlin or London office. In this position you will be an important part of Picus and work closely with our investment team.

Tasks

You enjoy telling hypothesis-driven stories? You keep up with the latest tech and innovation news? You’re not afraid to try new things to take a brand to the next level? Then this role might be right for you!

• Collaborating with colleagues from our global investment team to develop thought‑leadership content, attracting attention from potential founders and the wider startup ecosystem.
• Managing a consistent and regular content calendar workflow globally.
• Writing and refining articles, creating copy for a variety of channels (blog posts, PR, social media, website, newsletter) always focusing on hot topics at the forefront of technology innovation.
• Writing and refining articles, blogs, and opinion pieces, taking abstract or technical ideas and shaping them into compelling, punchy articles.
• Develop new content formats (e.g. video content in collaboration with an agency).
• Manage all relevant stakeholders and operations to further develop Picus positioning as thought‑leader in the global startup ecosystem (e.g. networking events, cooperations, etc.).
• Managing freelance editorial and digital marketing resources.

Requirements

Personality:

• You’re able to communicate ideas, implement them and take ownership of your projects.
• You are a team player with a “no task is too small” attitude and an exceptional work ethic and have the ability to balance a number of transactions at the same time.
• You’re able to cultivate relationships within the startup ecosystem & the media.
• You’re curious about the venture capital industry and have a strong interest in the startup and technology sector (ideally already an excellent understanding of both).

Qualifications

• You have worked 2+ years in journalism, PR or communications in a fast‑paced tech or startup-related environment.
• You have previous experience in managing content production and editorial work.
• You have excellent speaking & writing skills in English (native English is a plus).
