Consultant (m,w,d) AD-Validation PM - SAE L4 Automated Driving & E2E AI Systems

In this role you will lead and structure SAE Level 4 autonomous driving validation programs across the full development lifecycle. You will define holistic validation strategies for E2E AI-based AD systems and translate regulatory and safety requirements into executable concepts. You will coordinate across AI, systems engineering, tooling, and external stakeholders to drive scalable validation, risk management, and evidence-based release decisions. This is a hands-on, interdisciplinary role focused on ensuring safe, compliant, and robust AD validation at scale.

• Lead SAE Level 4 validation programs from concept to series readiness, homologation and operations
• Define end-to-end validation strategy combining scenario testing, data-driven validation, simulation, and real-world testing
• Translate ASPICE, ISO26262, SOTIF and homologation requirements into KPIs and release criteria
• Analyze validation implications of AD components (camera, radar, lidar, sensor fusion, localization, planning, control, data pipelines, monitoring)
• Coordinate SiL/HiL/MiL and vehicle-level testing and integrate into automated CI/CD pipelines
• Drive scalable AI model validation approaches (coverage, corner cases, data curation, confidence arguments)
• Define AI model validation KPIs including ODD coverage, perception/planning performance, robustness, latency, rare-event behavior
• Align validation with Type Approval and AD-SMS
• Act as central interface between AI teams, system engineers, toolchain providers, test organizations, authorities, partners
• Manage stakeholders at program and management level, including reporting, risk management and escalation
• Identify validation risks related to AI behavior, ODD boundaries and system interactions

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI or related field
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts for autonomous driving
• Deep understanding of validation challenges for SAE Level 4 AD systems
• Hands-on experience with simulations, SiL and HiL testing and automated CI/CD
• Strong technical understanding of AD system architectures and E2E AI models
• Practical knowledge of camera, radar and lidar sensor characteristics, sensor fusion, calibration, synchronization and failure modes
• Proven track record in high-rel industries with exposure to ASPICE, ISO26262, SOTIF and homologation
