Contract and Risk Manager (f/m/d)

In this role you will lead contract and claim management across ABB's Electrification divisions in Germany, partnering with legal and cross-functional teams to protect commercial interests. You will assess risks, negotiate with customers, and ensure compliance through the project lifecycle. The position sits in a collaborative, international environment and supports dispute resolution when needed. This is a hands-on role that shapes ABB’s contractual posture and risk framework, contributing to successful project execution.

• Identify contract baselines and conduct risk assessments per internal guidelines
• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts, frame agreements, and NDAs with sales, procurement, and legal teams
• Draft and manage (legal) correspondence with customers and suppliers
• Support the legal team in resolving disputes, claims, litigation, and arbitration
• Protect ABB’s contractual position through project lifecycle, including change and deviation management
• Ensure compliance with ABB Code of Conduct and contract management standards/tools

• Degree in Law, Business Law, or a comparable field with understanding of economic and contractual frameworks
• Practical experience in contract and claim management, ideally in an industrial environment
• Ability to work independently and proactively seek solutions
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
