Design and Construction Manager, Construction Project team

Join our dynamic Design and Construction Execution team and become a pivotal part of Amazon's infrastructure expansion across Europe. You'll play a critical role in transforming project concepts into reality, supporting the development of delivery stations and fulfillment centers that power our global logistics network. This role could be based in one of our CORP offices in Germany (BER21, MUC21, HAM11, DUS10) with 50% of the time traveling either domestically within the country or to other EMEA countries.

Key job responsibilities

• Support end-to-end project delivery from initial concept through final construction
• Assist in preparing comprehensive project budgets and detailed schedules
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Maintain meticulous project documentation and tracking systems
• Apply best practices in pre-construction and construction processes

Your day will be a blend of strategic planning and hands‑on project coordination. You might start by reviewing permit applications, then transition to construction site visits, engaging with contractors, and tracking project milestones. Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Experience in construction or project management
• Experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or Architecture, or Country equivalent
• Analytical and organizational capabilities
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English and German

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of project management tools
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience in construction or design
• Experience with documentation systems
• Experience in managing cool chains, refrigeration equipment and installations, temperature‑controlled environments considered a strong plus
• French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications
