Director of Mechanical Engineering – Gas Power Generation

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic leadership for utility-scale gas power generation projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, procurement, construction, and project management teams to guide engineering decisions, review designs, identify risks, and ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Focus on developing people and processes by mentoring engineers, establishing engineering standards, supporting project pursuits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a key technical resource for the organization while helping build and lead a high-performing engineering team that supports the growth of Blattner's Gas Power Generation business.
• Interact and establish positive relationships with gas power generation engineering firms and industry manufacturers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Registered Professional Engineering license required and/or in the process of completing.
• 10 or more years of applicable experience related to utility scale gas power generation projects OR mechanical engineering experience required.
• 7 or more years of leadership experience required.
