E-Commerce Communications Manager Germany, Austria + Netherlands

In this role, you will lead the Germany, Austria and NL market communications for TikTok Shop, partnering with cross-functional teams to shape clear, audience-focused narratives. You’ll manage day-to-day communications, advise stakeholders on messaging, and drive media engagement to support market expansion. You will translate market signals into practical guidance for internal teams and prepare spokespeople for interviews and events. This is a mission-driven role focused on safeguarding reputational risk and delivering impactful, timely communications across fast-moving markets.

• Own communications support for TikTok Shop in Germany, Austria + NL across defined market priorities and serve as day-to-day partner for operations and business teams
• Develop clear, audience-specific narratives and messaging for the three markets aligned with business priorities
• Manage communications projects from planning through execution (product moments, partnerships, seasonal campaigns, issue response)
• Build and maintain relationships with national, business and trade media; handle inbound requests and support proactive media engagement
• Coordinate with DACH + NL market communications leads on media strategy, inquiries and reputational issues; escalate when needed
• Review German-language external materials for clarity, consistency and reputational risk
• Track media sentiment and market trends; translate signals into practical guidance for internal teams
• Prepare spokespeople and experts for interviews, briefings and events with clear messaging and on-the-ground support
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, Product, Creator Partnerships, Policy and Legal to keep messaging aligned and surface risks/opportunities early
• Contribute to issue management for routine reputational matters with sound judgment and steady execution

• Fluent in German and English with strong written and verbal communication in both languages
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years in communications, corporate affairs, PR, media relations or related field
• Strong understanding of the German media landscape and experience managing press relationships
• Proven ability to write high-quality messaging for different audiences with minimal guidance
• Experience supporting spokespeople, media interviews and external events
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment
