Job Purpose
The Service Manager EMEA is responsible for establishing, leading, and harmonizing the regional service organization across Europe, with strategic oversight for the Middle East and Africa as the network expands. The role ensures that service operations, tools, and processes are unified, efficient, and fully aligned with EnerSys’ commercial and operational goals. This position acts as the operational bridge between country-level service activities and the EMEA Sales Operations structure, ensuring that Service becomes a sustainable and value-generating business pillar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Service Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement the regional service roadmap, with an initial focus on European operations.
- Define standards, procedures, and KPIs to ensure consistent service delivery and quality.
- Coordinate with Sales Operations to integrate service into regional go-to-market and profitability models.
- Support future expansion and readiness planning for the Middle East and Africa.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee field service, commissioning, and preventive maintenance execution across active markets.
- Ensure compliance with national and EU-level norms and regulations (e.g., electrical work certifications, safety).
- Optimize resource allocation, reporting flows, and operational planning across the regional teams.
- Implement and maintain digital service tools (Procore, Power BI, Salesforce, SAP, etc.) to increase transparency and control.
Financial & Performance Control
- Track and report key service performance indicators: revenue, margin, backlog, utilization, and quality metrics.
- Support accurate service forecasting and contribute to EMEA profitability analysis.
- Drive cost-efficiency initiatives without compromising customer experience or quality.
People & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate local service managers and technical teams.
- Define roles, training needs, and development plans to strengthen the regional service structure.
- Promote a safety-first, accountable, and customer-focused work culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and Operations to position service as a growth enabler.
- Align regional service priorities with EMEA Sales Operations and global service initiatives.
- Represent EnerSys Service externally with customers, partners, and key accounts.
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in service, technical operations, or aftersales management, preferably within industrial or energy sectors.
- Proven leadership experience in multi-country European operations.
- Strong process, financial, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Fluent in English (additional European languages an advantage).
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30–40%).
